Hi there!

I'm Janice - a Christian author and blogger here at janicehyltonblog.com.

I have made it my mission to encourage and bless women through my blog with honest conversations and empowering topics.

I am a wife and the mother of two beautiful children.

For 19 years I was a single mom until I got married. My lovely children are the very beautiful, smart, and fashionable Alexia, who is 22 years old. And, the very busy, smart, and curious Michael Jr - who is 2 years old and is still nursing.

Yes! You read that correctly, my babies are 20 years apart.

It's a long story, but if you come back and visit, I give you my word that I will share that wonderful story.

My babies are my pride and joy, and I love being a mom. Being a new mom the second time around, after 20 years, is especially joyful.

I love to study, read, and write about the Bible and how to apply the teachings to our lives today.

In my library, aka my den - I have over 700 physical books, bibles, bible study materials, and resources.

I have been teaching the Good News of Jesus Christ for over 20 years.

Over the years I have written over 100 books, but my first published book was Praying For Our Children.

When I wrote my first book I was 19 years old - sitting on my toilet in my studio apartment I shared with my then ''baby'' girl. That book has not been published yet - but will be soon.

Praying for Our Children tells my life story of being a teen mom at 16 years old and being homeless. Also, it tells Alexia's story of being a child with special needs and how “we made it.” Additionally, how I put myself through school and graduated from Essex County College and Rutgers State University.

In 2016, I published In Christ I Am…, written for my beautiful daughter who is now a young lady and for teens and adolescents.

But truthfully, it can be read and enjoyed by everyone - because it teaches about who we are in Christ.

Soon, my book, Hope for A Hopeless Nation-Overcoming the Grip of Fear will be available. Currently, I am working on my first fiction called Forbidden Fruit. And oh, is it hot and spicy; I can’t wait to share it with you.

In the meantime, I have a new book called THE NAKED WIFE.

Yes, “The Naked Wife.” It shares many stories of wives, ex-wives, and pastor’s wives -  who because of the failures of their husbands were left feeling “NAKED”. Stories of abuse, infidelities, financial strains, abandonment, and so on.

The Naked Wife has revolutionized my life! It has fueled and energized my passion for teaching, inspiring, and encouraging women to walk in their Royalty as Daughters of the KING of Kings.

As women, we go through a lot in our personal lives, with our mates, children, friends, jobs, and everyday life.

I am blessed to have a wonderful spiritual father and Pastor Bishop Marvin Bradshaw in my life since I was 17 years old. Because of him, I was able to avoid many mistakes, heartaches, and pain - when it came to love, relationships, and life in general.

40 years later, and I can still hear him talking to me about life, marriage, men, ministry, marriage and so on.

Few women have had a good father to sit us down and talk to us. To speak in our lives and show us the way. Few women have had a father to sit us down and talk to us about men. It’s sort of like the birds and the bees. Our parents didn’t tell us so we had to learn what we could from friends, magazines, and T.V.

It is with all of that, that I have embarked upon this journey to encourage the body of Christ, but especially for women.

For us to know who we really are, to walk in the grace and anointing of being Daughters of the King. To encourage women not to allow men to use our bodies and discard us, but to love and value ourselves just a little bit more.

So, let’s talk about all of that right here at Janice Hylton Blog. I give you my word that every time you stop by for a visit and a chat that you will leave with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. And, you will be enlightened.

Remember that caring is sharing so please share “our blog” with a friend.

XOXO, Janice.
